Abstract

Este documento estima la brecha salarial existente entre hombres y mujeres, la cual responde a caracterí¿sticas observables (capital humano) y no observables (como puede ser la discriminación). Dicha brecha se calcula para las trece principales ciudades de Colombia por medio de la metodología de Oaxaca-Blinder (OB), utilizando los datos de la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (GEIH) para el a¿no 2017. Según el modelo empleado la brecha salarial por género fue del 14,61 % y corrigiendo por selectividad fue de 20,48 %. Por medio del efecto dotación (-7,5 %) y remuneración (20 %) es evidente que existe discriminación laboral afectando a las mujeres.
